New in store this week: Alexander Henry’s Farmdale Collection
 The Farmdale Collection by Alexander Henry Fabrics features fun prints in an earthy yet bright colour palette. With birds, blossoms, plates and apples, this collection is perfect for cooler temperatures ahead!
We’ve waited patiently to get this collection into Canada and it’s finally here. Perfect timing too because Fall is just around the corner (some days it feels like it’s already here!).

It was a crazy Summer over here at PPF HQ (with trips to the library, zoo and just general busy-ness that accompanies being parents to toddlers) – we forgot to choose July and August monthly gift certificate winners!
Our sincerest apologies. Winners have been notified and we will announce them next week. Stay tuned.
In the mean time, we have all organic fabrics on sale to celebrate the beginning of Fall.
Ok, it’s not the beginning of Autumn just yet… but we’re excited for the soon to be cooler temperatures and seeing apple cider at our local farmer’s market!

We’ve been nominated for SavvyMom.ca’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Wahoo! It has been so much fun running this little store for the past 2 years and getting to know you all (on email, Facebook and Twitter)
Pink Panda Fabrics is run by me (Cheryl) and a few helpful friends and family members (they help cut and ship packages on weekends) and we’re honoured to be nominated for such a fabulous award.
 Vote for Pink Panda Fabrics! So if you have a free moment, we’d appreciate your support and would love you to vote for us to win this year’s award.

Yay! Some new Free Spirit fabrics have finally arrived!
 Denyse Schmidt Hope Valley Charm Pack We didn’t get everything we ordered and there are still some prints that we are anxiously waiting for. We’ve been told the estimated delivery date for the rest of the goodies are in June or July  So sorry for those that have been waiting on some specific Nicey Jane, Hope Valley and Dolce prints.
We have posted everything we received from these three collections – including fat quarter bundles and charm packs. If there is a specific print or cut you’re looking for, write to us and we’ll let you know when it’s coming in.

Before I talk about our reasons for shutting down Pink Panda Fabrics, I want to stress that it had nothing to do with our customers.
You’ve all been amazing. Many of you have cheered us on from the very beginning in 2008 when I was just starting out – cutting fabric and trying to master late night feedings with a newborn.
You’ve reached out to me with emails of support and some of you have even heard my voice over the phone! I love the emails and letters I’ve received since opening up shop and never imagined that saying goodbye would be so difficult.
But we knew it had to come to an end eventually as things are constantly changing in our lives, and sadly, April will be the last month of Pink Panda Fabrics.
My husband has gotten an offer on the West Coast and we’ve decided to move over to one of my favourite places in the world – California!
This new move means there’s ton of things to do and so we’ll be shutting our doors at the end of the month. Me (Cheryl) and my team (the lovely local ladies who help me pack and cut) have loved every minute of bringing the freshest fabrics to Canadians and are really sad that it will end soon.
Hopefully I’ll be able to re-establish some sort of fabric store in my new home and find more local ladies to help me out.

Ok, I’m not moving anywhere and Pink Panda Fabrics will NOT be shutting down it’s doors.
I would love to say that I’m moving to California one day but right now I’m happy here in Toronto. I think I’m a West Coaster at heart even though I was born and raised on the East Coast.
Sorry if we scared you a few minutes ago. To make it up to you, we’ve put a ton of stuff on sale :) Next year, we promise not to play any April Fools jokes on anyone. Just had to get it out of our system once.

We know… many of you have been asking us where the new Free Spirit fabrics are. We’ve been hounding the suppliers almost daily trying to get information on when they’ll arrive in Canada.
At first it was going to be March but now it looks like sometime in early April. If only fabrics could learn how to tele transport!
We have lots coming in – fat quarter bundles, charm packs and yardage. Thanks for being so patient everyone! We’re just as excited as you all are to get these onto our shelves. Not to mention the other great stuff we have coming in too – organics and more Echino later this season.
What we can tell you is that everything on it’s way to us are in colours perfect for Spring and Summer. The weather is gorgeous where we are this week and we hope it’s just as sunny and bright where you are too! Happy Tuesday!
