Gone are the days when I borrow books from the library or purchase them from the bookstore to read before bedtime. I don’t have time to finish a whole novel.
I started reading other people’s blogs while I was nursing my daughter (what else is there to do at 3am in the morning?) and fell in love with many of them. My list has grown over the past year and a bit and now I’m so addicted I spend a good chunk of my morning reading them all. LOL. Most of the posts are short so it doesn’t take up a lot of my time like a novel would (did I tell you I’m only half way through the last book of the Twilight series? I started that in February!) and many are easy to relate to as it’s about crafting, motherhood, working from home etc.
The addiction is so bad that sometimes I want to email the writers and say “Please, WRITE MORE! Do you think it would be too much to write 2x a day?” HA HA HA. Many of the blogs I follow are written by people living on the West Coast so every day around noon I go and check up on them to see if there’s a new post. Seriously… I’m a blog stalker!
I’m in love with the way people write, the stories they share, and the pictures they post. It’s so inspiring – I kinda wish I was a better writer and photographer. Maybe one day when I have time to take a course or two.
So here is a brief list of what I read daily (more to come in future posts):
Lisa Leonard Online – I love the way she writes about her family and how she makes everyday things like having a cup of coffee so much fun
Keeping it real in the suburbs – Photos and captions are too cute for words. Well written and inspiring. Many of Amber’s posts make me laugh out loud. It helps too that she used to love 90210 and MC Hammer.
My Cakies – I’ve mentioned this blog before and I had to mention it again. Ruby Ellen is a talented designer, photographer and awesome mom who is going to welcome baby #3 in a few months.
OK so those are my 3 blogs for today. I’ll be sharing more in future posts (and hopefully they won’ t all be from West Coast writers – just so happens that these 3 work are situated there!).
What do you like to read? I don’t think Google Reader has a limit so let me know what I should add to it!
P.S. I would like to have a blogroll somewhere on this page but I’m not sure how to organize 30+ blogs! Do you?

OMG!! me too!! LOL. oh, side note… (since you mentioned 90210) did you know that Melrose is back??
PS. Love to read MADE http://www.dana-made-it.com/
I have to check my blogroll every day, I get such inspiring ideas!
I’m sure you must have seen this already, but my absolute favourite blog is http://www.soulemama.com. It fills me with such inspiration and peace, I go back just to read the archives when I want a little boost
Oh, I am growing to be quite the addict as well. So not to worry, you are normal. I like to check my blogroll nearly everyday. Sometimes I am inspired or pleasantly surprised at what I find.
One of my faves is http://makingitlovely.com/
I also like http://ohjoy.blogs.com/my_weblog/

I’m in LOVE with soulemama.com ! Who doesn’t read that blog? It’s the first one I check every morning…
Was kinda sad when they took a vacation. LOL
Hi! I just came across your website through my Google reader today (saw you on Sale Alert Sunday on True Up). I’m excited to have discovered a Canadian fabric retailer!
I’ve got dozens of blogs that I read, but a couple I’d highly recommend are Simple Mom (http://simplemom.net/), Oh Fransson (http://www.ohfransson.com), and Inchmark Journal (http://inchmark.squarespace.com).
I read way too many blogs myself, when I really could have made something instead of reading about someone else who has made loads of things in the time I spent reading all the blogs! A few of my favourites are:
http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/ (this was the first blog I ever read, I discovered etsy through this blog, and became inspired to start my own business). I also really love http://nearfarproject.wordpress.com/ as a remarkable project to overcome depression (something I have struggled with myself). The 2 ladies that write this also have their own personal blogs.
Then thereès http://highlyirritable.wordpress.com/, which is a highly amusing commentary on life, parenting etc, and makes me laugh outloud every time I read it.
